Over four decades of experience, we have seen it all and tried it all. Our reclaim systems have gone through three generations of redesign based off experience to make them simpler to maintain, more efficient, and easier to operate, all while improving flow rates and odor control.

Founded in 1975, SoBrite has been on a mission to improve car wash water quality for nearly 50 years. We quickly found there was no one-size-fits-all solution to water treatment and quality across locations. Each car wash had different needs depending on the water source, hardness levels, iron and sulfur content, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
Most of these issues were easily rectified with basic softening and filtration. The issue of high amounts of TDS, however, proved to be a bit more challenging.
Originally, the industry’s preferred method of TDS removal was de-ionization. In 1985, after continuing research on the effectiveness of Reverse Osmosis (RO) in eliminating TDS, we changed course and began utilizing systems that were far more effective at eliminating TDS in water. And so, spot-free systems were born.
These spot-free systems set the groundwork for future incorporation into the carwash industry and other systems such as reclaim. Today, SoBrite manufactures a complete line of RO systems ranging from 500 gallons to 30,000 gallons per day in production volume.
In the early 1990s, SoBrite was approached by a car wash owner who was so impressed with the quality of their spot-free systems that he wanted them to work on a small but growing need in the car wash industry: water reclaim systems.
Our first Filtermatic water reclaim system with its patented AquaPrep odor control technology, was created and installed in 1994. The Filtermatic is still in operation today.
As the requirements for water conservation and the demand for water reclaim began to grow, so did the market for reclaim equipment. Continuing in our efforts to produce highly efficient and easy-to-operate reclaim systems, SoBrite introduced the Easy Reclaim System (ERS) in 2008.
The ERS is easy to use, has a very small footprint, and is cost-effective to maintain. It is highly efficient in moving reclaim water and includes the industry-leading AquaPrep odor control technology. It’s still our best-selling reclaim system.
Over the years, SoBrite has excelled at providing unparalleled customer service, 100% non-chemical odor control, and some of the cleanest reclaim water available on the market.
Since our beginning, we have expanded to include complete water treatment systems that include: water softeners, carbon filters, spot-free water systems, and reclaim systems.
